WHAT IS RESIDENCY AND AGE VERIFICATION?

Our spring season requires that all players live or attend school within MRLL boundaries. Residency verification affords parents the opportunity to provide documentation of their child's home/school to ensure they are registered to play in the appropriate Little League. Using a birth certificate, parents also confirm their child's age to ensure they are registered to play in the appropriate division.

SPRING 2024 INFORMATION

Residency and age verification is required in person for Minors and Majors players* at our pre-evaluation clinic (January 23) or at one of our spring evaluations (January 27 or 30). Birth certificates are to be original copies. School enrollment forms are strongly encouraged to be utilized for residency verification.

Residency Form Options
1.
Parents are strongly encouraged to use the School Enrollment Form. If your child's school is within the MRLL boundary (i.e. Kiva, Cochise, Archway Cicero/Great Hearts, Rancho Solano, Sequoya, Cocopah, Cherokee) you only need the school enrollment form and birth certificate. Please have a school administrator sign the enrollment form.
The School Enrollment Form is the ONLY document that can be rolled over from previous years if your child remains at the same school.  Therefore, if you turned in a school form last year and your child still attends the same school, you do not need to fill out another one.  In this instance, you will only be required to show your child's birth certificate at evaluations.  If you are unsure if we have a School Enrollment Form on file, please email Player Agent, Jenny Derr ([email protected]), to confirm.

PLEASE NOTE:  If your child is interested in playing in Little League All-Star post-season tournaments, please obtain a NEW School Enrollment Form for the current school year, as this will make the All-Star residency verification process much easier in June.

2. If your player has transferred to a school outside the MRLL boundary, but attended school within the boundary last year, please use the ii(d) waiver.
3.
If you live within the MRLL boundary, but attend school outside of it, please use the regular residency verification method.

And finally, all players need a Medical Release Form on file. Parents will print, complete, and hand the form to their child's coach at the first practice of the season. All coaches will keep their players' Medical Release Forms handy in the event of an emergency.

*Tee Ball and Farm players will upload age and residency documents during registration. Tee Ball and Farm players are not required to complete residency and age verification in person.
