2021 District 6 All Star Tournaments Update
MRLL's 10u and 11u All Star teams have been competing this week in the
District 6 Little League
postseason tournaments. The 11u team has advanced to
Saturday night's championship game at 7 at Ingleside
, while the 10u team wraps up their postseason Fri night at 7pm at Ingleside.
McCormick Ranch's 11u team earned the right to play for the District championship by beating Fountain Hills LL on Tuesday night 13-3 and Arcadia LL on Wednesday night by a score of 16 to 9 in a back-and-forth game. The championship game will be a rematch versus Arcadia on their home field.
Tuesday night's 11u winning pitcher was Paxton Bryk who had 6 strikeouts in 3 innings of work on the bump. Eight different players had hits for the Bulls, including Colton Dulany with 3, and Tate Tally, Dylan Carlson, Luke Schneider and Paxton Bryk all with two apiece.
Wednesday night's 11u victory was highlighted a 5th inning comeback to take the lead in a see-saw affair. Luke Schneider drove a ball out of the park for a 3 run home run during the critical rally inning. The Bulls put the game out of reach in the 6th with 6 more insurance runs. Quinn Kribel led the team with 4 hits, while Schneider drove in 4 and Tally drove in 3. Every Bull reached base by way of 11 total hits and 13 total walks and 2 hit-by-pitches in the offensive onslaught. Kahn Horn picked up the win as pitcher of record, holding the rival Arcadians to just 2 runs over 2 2/3 innings. Kribel did well as the starting pitcher and Schneider came in for the save to close out the game.
