McCormick Ranch No-Hits Arcadia; wins 15-0 in First Game of Championship Series

The 12U All Stars' three pitchers didn't allow a single hit, as the Bulls defeated Arcadia 15-0 on Saturday. They are now one win away from winning the District 6 Little League championship. Next game is Monday night at 7pm.

McCormick Ranch fired up the offense in the top of the first inning. Jake Catalfio drove in Dae-il Willis and Noah Becker when he doubled.  The Bulls, already up 7-0, really broke things open when they scored eight runs in the fifth inning. The local 12U All Stars’ big bats were led by Nate Smith, Dae-il Willis, Jake Catalfio, Devin Long, and Jack Lafflam, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Devin Long was the winning pitcher for McCormick Ranch. He went two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out six.  Jack Lafflam and Jake Catalfio entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief by striking out six additional batters while not allowing any hits over three innings.

McCormick Ranch tallied 15 hits. Catalfio, Willis, Becker, Long and Lafflam all managed multiple hits for the Bulls. The 12U All Stars were boosted by Catalfio who went 4-for-4 at the plate. He doubled in the first, singled in the third, singled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.

McCormick Ranch LL Bulls 12U All Stars didn't commit a single error in the field, as Arcadia could only manage to put three balls into play.  The two teams face off again at Scottsdale Ranch Park at 7pm on Monday.
