Parents and players, please plan on joining us on Sunday, March 17th to pick up your uniform at Mountain View Park Community Center! Tee ball and Farm-level teams will meet their coaches at 4pm to pick up their jerseys and hats. Families with Minors- and Majors-level players should arrive at 4:30pm and plan on being at the MVPCC until 6pm.
Prior to receiving their uniforms, Minors- and Majors-Players, along with their Parents, will all get the benefit of participating in a workshop customized for our little league by the Positive Coaching Alliance, and facilitated by Jeff Rodin. Jeff has been with PCA since 2013 and is in his 16th season with the Arizona Diamondbacks as Director of Baseball Outreach & Development. He founded the D-backs' Baseball Academy in 2000 and has continued to mentor and coach youth at every level, from basics to elite. Since joining the D-backs staff in 1999 he has created a youth baseball and softball program that allows Phoenix area youth to learn the same tools and techniques as D-backs players. He and his wife Lisa have a daughter, Katie, and son, Keegan, who are both actively involved in sports and music.
Everyone should also plan to join us on Saturday March 23rd for our annual Day at the Ballpark festivities at Chaparral Park! All the players will get their pictures taken and participate in a league-wide parade of athletes in the morning and all the teams at every level will be in action all day and night! See the outline of the activities below (you will receive an email with specific times for your athlete's pictures and games). We will have a food truck from Black Bear Snack Shack on hand at 7:30am for coffee, soda and snacks (although please keep those uniforms clean for pictures kiddos!)
