We have opened up registration for our post-season all-star tournament teams! These unique opportunities are available for players who are league-age 8-12 years old. Please learn more about the All-Star experience and opportunities on our website at “2019 All Star Team Information.”
Registration is now open for the “12U”, “11U” and “10U” Little League All Star teams, as well as the “TOPs” tournament team, on the league website (under the Registration Info/Available Programs tab).
Registration for these teams is $200 for the 12U, 11U and 10U teams, and $150 for the TOPs team. No $ amount is charged at the time of registration - you’ll only be charged the registration fee if your player is selected for one of these post season teams.
Please note we have a registration deadline of May 2 - please register for consideration ASAP as no monies are due unless your player is selected.
*The 12U All Stars are selected by a vote from the players' peers and coaches within the Majors division on May 4th, with some additional roster spots chosen by the All Star coaches.
*The 11U & 10U and TOPs team rosters are selected by the respective teams' managers.
*The 12U, 11U and 10U rosters will be announced on Saturday June 1st, per Little League rules.
*TOPs is not a recognized All Star team, but is a select tournament team for 8 & 9 year old Minors players to gain All Star tournament experience and is a very competitive, play to win feel. (As of now, there are 7 leagues around Phoenix and Scottsdale that will participate. This is MRLL's 4th season of participation.) The complete roster will be announced no later than June 1st. The tournament begins roughly June 8 and lasts 1 week.
Practices begin immediately upon roster announcements.
Some players are eligible for more than one team, as the 12U team can have 10-12 year olds, the 11U team can have 9-11 year olds, the 10U team can have 8-10 year olds and the TOPs team is geared towards 8 & 9 year olds. Players may participate on only 1 team per All Star season, but may sign up for any/all that they are age eligible for.
(Please note that at this time, we are awaiting a decision from Little League International on whether North Scottsdale LL players and McCormick Ranch LL players will be able to combine to form All Star teams this year, or whether each league must form its own rosters. During the registration process, you’ll be asked which local league you are registered under (per residency or school attendance).)
Participation on the Little League 12U, 11U and 10U teams requires a significant commitment of time by the players and families involved in June practices and games and other team events. If the All Star team is successful at the District 6 tournament held in June, players will be expected to be available for practices and the state tournament for their respective age division held in July. State tournament locations (and approximate dates) for 2019 are listed on the website. Please reach out to the league board or past participants to get a better understanding of this time commitment and expectations – and also the fun that is had by the players and the families!
